A two-vehicle crash injured 22-year-old Bryce Estocado on Lake Mead and Torrey Pines (Las Vegas, NV)

On Tuesday night, 22-year-old Bryce Estocado suffered major injuries after a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Lake Mead Boulevard and Torrey Pines Drive.

As per the initial information, Bryce Estocado was hit by a woman driving a Hyundai Santa Fe at about 8 p.m. The driver, identified as Therese Schubert-Makowiecki, was taking a left turn from Torrey Pines onto West Lake Mead as Estocado, who was traveling south on Torrey Pines, entered the intersection. Police said both the drivers failed to stop at red lights.

The impact of the crash ejected Estocado from the motorcycle. On arrival, medics rushed the bike rider to University Medical Center’s Trauma Center with serious injuries. Schubert-Makowiecki, and the two children in her vehicle, remained uninjured. Officers said that there were no signs of impairment.

The crash remains under investigation.
