On Saturday night, a two-vehicle collision took the life of one person and injured another in Memphis.
As per the initial information, the fatal incident took place at Hickory Hill Road/Hickory Commons Drive at about 10:30p.m. The preliminary investigation showed that there was a stranded car at the intersection. Two males stopped in their car to provide help. Jus then, a second car going in the opposite direction crashed straight into the stranded car, also striking the two males.
One of the victims was declared dead at the scene while another was rushed to Regional One in critical condition. The driver, who pulled over to assist, was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. No charges have been filed at this time.
An investigation is ongoing.
