On Tuesday afternoon, seven people were injured following a two-vehicle collision on Jefferson Street and Avenue 42.
As per the initial information, the incident took place at the intersection of Jefferson Street and Avenue 42 at about 2:06 p.m. Preliminary reports showed that two vehicles were involved in the collision, but no details have been provided regarding the vehicles.
Officials confirmed that two people suffered serious injuries, four people received moderate injuries and one person had a minor injury. Indio Police Department and California Highway Patrol did not release any further details regarding the accident.
