A truck hit and killed a 6-year-old girl in NW Houston (Houston, TX)

On Wednesday, a 6-year-old girl lost her life after being hit by a truck in northwest Houston.

As per the initial information, the fatal auto-pedestrian accident took place at about 5 p.m. on West Montgomery Road, close to West Gulf Bank Road. At this time, it is unknown if the girl had just come out of a bus or ran across the street from her apartment complex.

Officers questioned the driver of the truck but did not arrest them. No charges have been filed against the driver. The identity of the deceased has not been released as of this moment. No other details are immediately available.

The crash remains under investigation.
