On late Tuesday, one person was killed following a motor vehicle accident on State Route 4.
As per the initial information, the fatal traffic collision took place shortly before 11:00 p.m. on State Route 4 near Loveridge Road on-ramp. Officials confirmed that the incident resulted in a fatality. CHP announced a Sig Alert that closed eastbound lanes at 11:05 p.m.
The eastbound traffic was rerouted off the highway at the Railroad Avenue off-ramp. At about 11:11 p.m., officers called for the coroner. The identity of the deceased will be revealed once the next of kin is notified. No other details are immediately available.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
