A traffic accident on the south side led to serious injuries.
As per the initial information, the crash took place just after 11 a.m. on I-35 southbound, near Division Avenue. Several firefighters from the San Antonio Fire Department arrived at the accident scene. On arrival, first responders took one person to the hospital in an unknown condition.
A tractor-trailer at the scene had major damage and poles that held up signage were also wrecked following the accident. Only the left lane is getting by near the exit of Southcross Boulevard, exit 151. According to the reports, the traffic is backed up to Theo Avenue, exit 152. The circumstances surrounding the crash remain unclear at this time. No other details are available.
An investigation is underway.
