One person was killed after a traffic collision on freeway transition road Friday in Mission Hills.
As per the initial information, the fatal crash was reported at around 7:15 a.m. on the transition from the westbound 118 Freeway to the southbound 405 Freeway. On arrival, medics rushed the victim to a hospital, where they died of their injuries.
The transition road was shut down during an investigation. Authorities also blocked the transition road from the northbound 5 Freeway to the westbound 118 Freeway, along with the Laurel Canyon on-ramp to the westbound 118 Freeway. No other details are available.
The cause of the crash remains under review.
