A traffic accident in East Austin led to a fatality (Austin, TX)

One person was killed following a crash Thursday in East Austin.

As per the initial information, the fatal traffic collision took place at about 3:55 p.m. in the 9000 block of Johnny Morris Road, just south of the intersection with Hwy 290. According to the authorities, one adult was pronounced dead at the scene.

It is unknown if the incident caused any other injuries. The circumstances surrounding the crash also remain unclear at this time. The identity of the deceased will be released once the next of kin is notified. No further details are available.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
