On Thursday, injuries were reported following a multi-vehicle wreck in North Central Austin.
As per the initial information, officers actively responded to the intersection of North Lamar Boulevard and West Koenig Lane at about 12:01 p.m. after getting reports of a three-vehicle pile-up. The early reports showed that one of the vehicles rolled over due to the accident.
The driver of the vehicle that flipped over was pinned inside and was freed moments after the collision. That person was assessed at the scene and then taken to Dell Seton Medical Center with minimal injuries. The other two victims involved refused to be transported to the hospital.
Multiple lanes were shut down to traffic as crews worked at the scene. The crash site was cleared a little before 1 p.m. The events that have led up to the accident remain unknown at this time. No other details are immediately available.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
