A single-vehicle crash killed 1 person on westbound I-96 service drive in Livonia (Livonia, MI)

On Wednesday, one person died after a single-vehicle accident on westbound I-96 service drive in Livonia.

As per the initial information, the fatal incident took place shortly after 2 a.m. on the westbound I-96 service drive at Middlebelt Road. The early reports showed that a compact four-door Sedan struck fencing and a pole in a construction zone. One person was killed as a result of the collision

The crash led to traffic backups on Interstate 96 westbound, and the ramp to Middlebelt Road was shut down. Drivers are asked to avoid the area and use alternative routes. No other details are immediately available.

An investigation continues.
