On Saturday night, two teens suffered injuries following a traffic accident in a Greenbrier subdivision.
As per the initial information, the single-vehicle crash took place on Franklin Dr in Greenbrier shortly after 11 pm. Franklin Dr sits in a neighborhood behind Greenbrier High School. The preliminary investigation showed that a vehicle, occupied by two teens, went off the roadway and hit a tree in the front yard of a home. The impact toppled the tree and caused heavy damage to the vehicle.
Both the males, the 16-year-old driver and a 17-year-old passenger, were taken to area hospitals in stable condition. The driver was transported to Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, whereas the passenger to TriStar NorthCrest in Springfield. It is unknown if speed and alcohol played a factor in the accident, but charges are still pending. Multiple agencies responded to the crash scene. No other details are immediately available.
The crash remains under investigation.
