A semi-truck carrying hazardous material flipped over on State Route 20.

As per the initial information, the single-vehicle accident took place on SR-20, approximately 25 miles north of Newport. The preliminary investigation revealed that the truck was carrying methylenebis, a lead compound, but the load has been contained and is not liquid.

Officials asked the motorists to be cautious through the area as snow and ice were on the road creating slick conditions. It is unknown if anyone suffered injuries as a result of the accident. No other details have been released by the authorities.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
