A school bus hit and injured a pedestrian near 107th Avenue and Happy Valley Road in Peoria (Peoria, AZ)

On Thursday morning, a pedestrian suffered serious injuries after being struck by a school bus in Peoria.

According to Peoria police, the incident took place at around 9:00 a.m. near 107th Avenue and Happy Valley Road. The accident happened when a person was crossing the street near 107th Avenue and Happy Valley Road and the vehicle hit them.

On arrival, emergency crews rushed the pedestrian to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. The identity of the victim has not been reveled at this time. Police reported that there were children on the bus at the time of the crash but it is not confirm if any of them suffered injuries.

An investigation is ongoing.
