On late Tuesday, one man lost his life after a rollover crash on Big Tujunga Canyon Road.
The fatal single-vehicle accident took place on the side of Big Tujunga Canyon Road in the Angeles National Forest, north of Altadena at around 10 p.m. CHP reported that the victim’s vehicle drifted off the roadway and the driver lost control.
The vehicle then went down the mountainside, flipping over several times, before coming to a stop 185 feet down the mountainside. The man succumbed to his injuries at the crash scene, west of County Fire Marker 2.92. The authorities will release the identity of the deceased after notifying the next of kin.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
