On Thursday, a 22-year-old woman from the Lake Odessa area lost her life following a rollover accident in Ionia County.
As per the initial information, the fatal incident took place at about 8:25 a.m. on Jordan Lake Road, close to West Henderson Road in Ionia County’s Odessa Township. The preliminary reports showed that she was driving south on Jordan Lake Road when her vehicle swerved off the right side of road, hit a ditch and flipped multiple times. She was ejected from the vehicle as it rolled.
The woman succumbed to her injuries at the scene. She was the sole occupant of her vehicle. Authorities are trying to find out why her vehicle went off the road. Speed and alcohol are not believed to be involved in the crash. Lake Odessa firefighters provided assistance to the sheriff’s deputies at the scene. No other details are available.
