A portion of northbound US-395 blocked after a motorcycle crash near Red Rock (Reno, NV)

A stretch of northbound US-395 was closed down following a traffic collision Friday near Red Rock.

As per the initial information, the motorcycle crash was reported at about 8:30 a.m. on May 13 just south of Red Rock Road. It is unknown if anyone suffered injuries or required hospitalization following the accident. The circumstances surrounding the crash also remain unclear.

It is unknown when the roadway will be back open to traffic. Officials asked motorists to find an alternate route until further notice. No further details are available.

An investigation is underway.
