Injuries were reported after a multi-vehicle accident Friday morning in Houston.
As per the initial information, the five-vehicle pile-up took place on US-290 at FM-529. The incident caused major traffic delays in the area. According to the early reports, the crash led to injuries, but it is unknown how many people were hurt or if anyone required hospitalization.
The three inbound left lanes on US-290 were closed down while crews worked at the scene, but by 6:50a.m., the crash was reported cleared. Backups extended up to at least four miles. Motorists coming in from Jersey Village or Cypress were impacted and advised to take Eldridge Parkway to Little York as an alternate route. No other details are available.
An investigation is underway.
