On Monday night, four people, including one child, suffered injuries following a traffic accident in North Austin.
As per the initial information, the multi-vehicle wreck took place in the 700 block of the E. Anderson Lane eastbound service road shortly before 10 p.m. The early reports revealed that two people were trapped in their vehicles due to the collision. One child was rushed to Dell Children’s Medical Center in critical condition.
According to the officials, the child was probably ejected from the car. An adult was transported to Dell Seton Medical Center with non-fatal injuries. The trapped occupants, an adult and a teenager, were extricated by about 10:30 p.m. The teenager was rushed to Dell Children’s Medical Center with serious injuries, while the adult refused medical treatment.
Four ambulances as well as Austin Fire Department crews and the Austin Police Department responded to the crash scene. Drivers were asked to expect delays and traffic closures in the area as crews worked at the scene. The circumstances surrounding the accident remain unknown. No other details are made available.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
