On Monday afternoon, injuries were reported following a traffic crash in Federal Way.
As per the initial information, the multi-vehicle wreck took place a little before 4 p.m. at 35900 Pacific Highway South in which at least three vehicles were involved. The preliminary investigation revealed that one car seemed to have been split into several pieces as a result of the accident. Reports further added that the crash involved the cab of a tractor-trailer whose driver was trapped in the wreckage and required extrication.
According to the authorities, there were no major injuries reported as a result of the accident. Officials shut down several southbound lanes of Pacific Highway as crews worked at the scene. It is unknown when the lanes would reopen. No additional information has been provided.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
