A multi-vehicle accident claimed the life of an unborn child in Lafayette; Noe Sanchez arrested (Lafayette, LA)

On Tuesday night, an unborn child died and three others suffered injuries following a multi-vehicle pile-up in Lafayette and officers arrested Noe Sanchez.

According to the officials, the fatal incident took place on Ambassador Caffery Parkway at about 9:00 p.m. in which four vehicles were involved. On arrival, emergency crews took three people to the hospital with minor to moderate injuries.

Reports revealed that a woman, who was pregnant, lost her child as a result of her injuries. Officials said that alcohol played a role in the accident. Authorities arrested a driver, Noe Sanchez, accused of vehicular negligence and third degree feticide after the wreck.

An investigation is ongoing at this time.
