A motorcycle crash claimed the life of 1 person on Highway 101 and Highway 126 (Ventura, CA)

On Sunday morning, one person was killed following a motorcycle crash on Highway 101 and Highway 126.

The fatal two-vehicle accident took place shortly before 11:00 a.m., close to Highway 101 and Highway 126 in which a motorcycle and a Toyota sedan were involved. The Ventura County Fire Department and the CHP actively responded to the crash scene.

Officials closed one lane of northbound Highway 101 as crews worked at the scene and traffic was slowed down in the area for several hours. As per the reports, towing services also arrived to move both vehicles from the scene. Officials have not confirmed whether the motorcyclist or a vehicle passenger was killed as a result of the accident.

An investigation is ongoing at this time.
