A man lost his life after being struck by a MARTA train near Midtown Atlanta.
As per the initial information, the fatal pedestrian crash took place near the Midtown station. The preliminary investigation showed that the victim was trespassing on the tracks when he got hit by a train. According to a witness, they saw his body under the train.
The man succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The MARTA Station in Midtown was closed for several hours as crews worked to remove his body from the southbound tracks. The identity of the deceased will be revealed once the next of kin is notified. No other details are available.
