A man died after an auto-pedestrian accident on the city’s Southeast Side (Grand Rapids, MI)

On Wednesday, a pedestrian lost his life after being hit by a car on the city’s Southeast Side.

As per the initial information, the fatal auto-pedestrian crash took place shortly before 6 a.m. near Burton Street SE and Paris Avenue. The preliminary investigation showed that a vehicle struck a male pedestrian for reasons that are yet to be known. On arrival, emergency responders performed CPR on the victim.

Life EMS Ambulance rushed the man to a local hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. The driver of the involved vehicle stayed at the scene and assisted with the investigation. No other details are available.

The crash remains under review.
