A hit-and-run crash killed a male pedestrian in Savannah (Savannah, GA)

A man lost his life following an auto-pedestrian accident in Savannah.

As per the initial information, officers actively responded to the area of Ogeechee Road after getting reports of a hit-and-run crash. According to a witness, a yellow sports car struck a pedestrian, pulled over for a second, and then drove away from the scene. The pedestrian suffered major injuries and was declared dead at the scene by the officials.

Officers asked businesses in the area for surveillance footage to identify the make and model of the hit-and-run vehicle. The identity of the deceased will be released once the next of kin is notified. All lanes of Ogeechee Road were later reopened to traffic. No other details are available.

The incident remains under active review.
