On Sunday afternoon, a 6-year-old girl lost her life after she got struck by an SUV in Dearborn.
As per the initial information, the fatal hit-and-run crash took place just before 3 p.m. on Bingham, around two blocks south of Tireman. The early reports revealed that a vehicle hit the girl and drove away from the scene after the collision.
On arrival, emergency crews transported the girl to Children’s Hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries. According to the officials, the hit-and-run car is a silver or white Chevrolet Equinox. No other details are immediately available.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
