A hit-and-run crash killed a 40-year-old man on South San Joaquin Street (Stockton, CA)

On Sunday, a 40-year-old man lost his life in a hit-and-run crash on South San Joaquin Street.

According to the officers, the auto-pedestrian incident happened at around 6 p.m. near the intersection with East Sonora. Reports indicated that the victim was walking in the area when he was hit by a minivan. On arrival, medics rushed the man to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries.

Officials reported that the involved vehicle is either a light blue or gray, late 90’s Toyota minivan. On Monday, the authorities released a photograph of a minivan involved in a hit-and-run collision. The identity of the deceased will be revealed after notifying the next of kin.

The crash remains under active investigation.
