A hit-and-run crash involving a fire truck reported in Seattle (Seattle, WA)

On Thursday, authorities reported a hit-and-run crash involving a fire truck in Seattle.

As per the initial information, the two-vehicle accident took place in the Lake City neighborhood at about 2 a.m. The preliminary investigation showed that the vehicle crashed into the side of the fire truck. The firefighters remained uninjured as a result of the crash. The fire truck was dented but there was no other damage whereas the car that struck the truck was badly damaged.

The driver of the car came out and ran away on foot, but the passenger remained at the scene. The fire truck was not on a call at the time of the collision, so no responses were delayed. Officers are searching for the driver of the vehicle who fled the scene after the crash.

The incident remains under investigation.
