A hit-and-run crash injured a Pedestrian in Fremont (Fremont, CA)

Fremont police are seeking help from the public in finding the driver of a car that struck and injured a pedestrian on Wednesday night and fled the scene.

The auto-pedestrian crash took place at about 10:30 p.m. near the intersection of Peralta Boulevard and Dusterberry Way. The pedestrian was pushing a cart of recyclables and personal items when he was being hit by the vehicle, which left the scene before the police arrived at the crash site, police reported.

According to the police, the pedestrian sustained major injuries as a result of the crash. Authorities have not provided any description of the vehicle that struck the pedestrian. The identity of the injured pedestrian remains undisclosed.

The incident remains under active review.
