On Saturday night, three people received injuries, including a 9-year-old girl after a hit-and-run accident on Detroit’s west side.
As per the initial information, the incident took place near the intersection of Fenkell Avenue and Ohio Street. The preliminary reports showed that a vehicle was heading on Ohio Street without its lights on when it collided with a car at the intersection and then left the scene. The car that got hit was sent flying due to the impact and landed on several vehicles, including multiple motorcycles.
The reports further revealed that a 9-year-old girl was sitting on one of the motorcycles that was hit. On arrival, first responders immediately took three people to a hospital, where they are currently listed in serious condition. The driver of the first vehicle struck was initially detained before the investigation determined that driver was not responsible for the crash. Police are searching for the driver of the original vehicle. No details have been provided regarding the suspect or their vehicle.
