On Monday, one person was hospitalized after a head-on collision that caused a vehicle to slam into a building.
As per the initial information, the incident took place at 4:57 p.m. Oct. 4 on Mansfield Road, close to Morningside Drive. The early reports indicated that a southbound vehicle was attempting to pass another southbound vehicle when it collided with an oncoming Cadillac Escalade, sending the Cadillac into a building.
On arrival, emergency responders took the Cadillac’s driver to a hospital for treatment of injuries that authorities mentioned did not appear to be life-threatening. It is unclear if anyone in the other vehicle suffered injuries. No other details are available.
