A freeway transition road was blocked after a big rig flipped on its side in the Cerritos area.
As per the initial information, the single-vehicle wreck took place at around 2 a.m. on the transition road from the eastbound 91 Freeway to the northbound 605 Freeway. The driver reportedly was unharmed, and managed to get out of the cab on his own.
The big rig remained on its side on the freeway transition road for hours, thwarting the start of the morning commute. The Sig alert for the traffic incident was finally canceled at 9:32 a.m., and all lanes were reopened to traffic. No other details are available.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
