Two people lost their lives following a fiery crash involving three cars near Verrado Way and Van Buren Street.
On arrival, officers found one car engulfed in flames; one person pinned inside the second vehicle, and a third car that flipped over several times and landed in a field. Responders rescued the woman who was trapped in the second car and rushed her to a hospital in critical condition.
Police mentioned that the male driver of the car that rolled over suffered non-critical injuries. When crews extinguished the burning car, they found two bodies inside. As of now, authorities have not revealed the names of all the victims.
The incident remains under active investigation.
