A female jogger injured after a hit-and-run accident near Riverside Park; driver sought (Grand Rapids, MI)

On Monday, a female jogger was hospitalized after a hit-and-run accident near Riverside Park in Grand Rapids.

As per the initial information, the auto-pedestrian crash took place at about 4 p.m. on Monroe Avenue NW between Graceland and Guild streets, close to Riverside Park. On arrival, first responders took the victim, described as a 19-year-old Rockford woman, to the hospital where she is listed in stable condition.

The events that have led up to the collision remain unknown at this time. According to the investigators, the involved vehicle might have been a white Kia Sorrento and eyewitnesses informed police that the driver was a man. No other details are available.

The incident remains under active review.
