A fatal motorcycle accident killed 63-year-old Larry Dwayne Long (Brownsville, TX)

63-year-old Larry Dwayne Long lost his life following a fatal motorcycle crash on Wednesday night, according to Sgt. Maria Montalvo, a spokesperson for the Texas Department of Public Safety.

The incident took place at around 10 p.m. on Old Port Isabel Road and Robindale Road in Brownsville. Initial investigation shows that Larry Dwayne Long, 63, a resident of Brownsville, was heading northbound on Old Port Isabel Road while riding a 1997 Harley Davidson motorcycle when he tried to take a wide-turn and crash into a utility post. On arrival, authorities declared Long deceased on the scene, Montalvo said. It still remains unknown what caused the crash.

Authorities will continue to investigate the fatal crash.
