A crash left a motorcyclist dead on 710 Freeway on ramp in Long Beach (Long Beach, CA)

On Monday morning, a crash on an on-ramp to the 710 Freeway in Long Beach left a motorcyclist dead.

When responding officials arrived at the scene, they found the motorcycle down at 4:48 a.m. on the east Del Amo Boulevard on-ramp to the northbound Long Beach Freeway. The reports revealed that the dead motorcyclist was discovered nearby.

At this time, it is unclear if the accident was a hit-and-run. The CHP announced a Sig Alert for eastbound and westbound Del Amo Boulevard on ramps to the northbound Long Beach Freeway. The circumstances surrounding the crash remain unknown. No other details are immediately available.

An investigation is ongoing.
