A crash involving VIA bus and 3 other vehicles hospitalized three people in Southtown area (San Antonio, TX)

A traffic accident involving a VIA Metropolitan Transit bus and three other vehicles sent three people to a hospital on Monday in the Southtown area.

According to VIA, a bus was stopped in the 800 block of South Flores Street, not far from Guadalupe Street when a vehicle crashed into it from behind before noon following which two other vehicles then smashed behind it. The San Antonio Fire Department said that three people were transported to the hospital, but the extent of their injuries is unknown at this time.

15 passengers and a driver were in the bus at the time of the collision, but only a few minor injuries were reported and they received treatment at the scene. Firefighters used a tool to cut the part of an SUV to free its passengers.

The crash is under review.
