On Thursday afternoon, a motorcyclist was sent to the hospital following a crash in Santa Clarita.
Just after 1 p.m. on Thursday afternoon, emergency responders got information of a traffic collision in which a motorcycle and a van were involved. The incident occurred on The Old Road just south of Calgrove Boulevard in Stevenson Ranch, as per Charisma Murillo, spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
“We were dispatched at 1:08,” Murillo said. “It appeared to be a motorcycle versus van crash; one person was taken to the hospital.” As of Thursday afternoon, the extent of the motorcyclist’s injuries is unknown. As of 1:20 p.m. Thursday, one southbound lane of The Old Road remained shut down due to the crash.
An investigation is continuing.
