A child was hurt on Saturday afternoon when his sled came onto the Mount Rose Highway and he was hit by a vehicle.
The Nevada Highway Patrol was still trying to garner information and evidence about the accident that occurred at 1:22 p.m. in the Sheep’s Flat area about 6 miles from Incline Village.
The NHP told that the child was sledding when he failed to stop before the highway and went onto the road.
The severity of the injuries was yet to be determined, however it appeared to be not life-threatening.
