A car vs. big rig crash injured 2 people in Castaic (Santa Clarita, CA)

On Sunday morning, two people were sent to a hospital after a traffic accident in Castaic.

As per the initial information, at about 11:35 a.m. first responders got information of a two-vehicle crash on the southbound 5 Freeway, close to Lake Hughes Road in Castaic. The early reports showed that a big rig and a Camry were involved in the collision. The reports further stated that the Camry driver was possibly impaired when the incident took place.

Two people were taken to the hospital for the treatment of unspecified injuries. The events that have led up to the collision remain unknown at this time. The No. 3 and 4 lanes of the southbound 5 Freeway were temporarily blocked following the accident. No other details are available.

The crash remains under investigation.
