A car hits a pole and then goes 50 feet down an embankment in Santa Clarita crash (Santa Clarita, CA)

On Monday afternoon, a vehicle crashed into another vehicle then collided with a pole before falling 50 feet down an embankment in Santa Clarita.

At about 5:24 p.m., Monday, first responders got information of a rollover accident near the intersection of Sierra Highway and Placerita Canyon Road, said Bernard Peters, dispatch supervisor for the Los Angeles County Fire Department. “No one was trapped,” Peters said. “Paramedics were cancelled so there are minimal injuries.”

The preliminary reports revealed that the car collided with a vehicle before striking a pole, then came rolling 50 feet down an embankment. No major injuries were reported as a result of the collision, Peters said. It is still unclear how many people received injuries or if anyone required hospitalization. No other details are available.

An investigation is underway.
