On early Saturday morning, a man in his 20s lost his life after being hit by a car on the Mira Mesa Boulevard.
The Sorrento Valley fatal incident took place on June 12. As per San Diego Police, the man was pushing a shopping cart east along the 6600 blocks of Mira Mesa Boulevard just after midnight when a red Honda Civic struck him. According to reports, the man suffered serious injuries and was later declared dead. The circumstance that led to the crash remain unknown at this time. Authorities will reveal the identity of the deceased after notifying the next of kin.
The crash remains under investigation.
