A car hit and injured a 69-year-old woman (San Diego, CA)

An auto-pedestrian crash seriously injured a 69-year-old woman on Saturday night.

Reports revealed that the woman was crossing the street on the 5000 block of El Cajon Boulevard in an unmarked crosswalk when a 2017 Toyota Corolla struck her shortly before 9 p.m. Authorities mentioned that the woman suffered a skull fracture and other injuries considered life-threatening. The driver of the car did not sustain any injury as a result of the accident. The cause of the incident remains unknown at this time. Authorities did not provide any other information regarding the crash and the identity of the injured pedestrian has not been released.

An investigation is underway.
