A 53-year-old man lost his life following a motorcycle crash in Pacoima.
The Los Angeles Police Department’s Valley Traffic Division sought public’s help Sunday to identify the driver of a white four-door sedan that killed a 53-year-old man who was thrown from his motorcycle after he crashed into a Toyota Corolla head-on.
As per the initial information, the fatal incident took place at about 8:35 p.m. Saturday on Laurel Canyon Boulevard at Judd Street. The preliminary investigation showed that a man riding a 2012 Kawasaki was traveling northbound on Laurel Canyon when it merged into a two-way left turn lane and struck a gray 2015 Corolla head-on.
Then, a white Sedan, which was southbound, hit the man. That driver then left the scene after the collision. On arrival, first responders rushed the motorcycle rider to a hospital where he was declared dead. The driver of the gray 2015 Corolla stayed at the scene and cooperated with the officials.
A reward of up to $50,000 is available for anyone who can provide information that leads to the identification of the hit-and-run motorist, their arrest and conviction through the city’s hit-and-run reward program trust fund.
The incident remains under active review.
