A 23-year-old man died after a motorcycle crash in Long Beach (Long Beach, CA)

On Sunday, a 23-year-old motorcyclist, a Long Beach resident, lost his life after he lost control of his bike and fell off after hitting a curb in Long Beach.

The man was riding north on Pacific Avenue close to 32nd Street when he reportedly lost control of his 2013 Kawasaki motorcycle at about 4:30 p.m. After he fell from the motorcycle, it continued moving until it was hit by a Ford Mustang.

The Mustang’s driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with officials. It is unknown at this time if drugs or alcohol were involved in the deadly collision, whereas speed seemed to have played a factor, officers reported. The identity of the deceased will be revealed after notifying the next of kin.

The crash remains under investigation.
