The Pierce County Sheriff’s office reported a motor vehicle crash on Wednesday. A 22-year-old  woman operating a mini cooper collided with a GMC Sierra in the 12100 block of Spanaway Loop Road South at around 1:59 p.m. in a fatal crash

According to Moss, the Sierra driver was passing other vehicles when she attempted to pass by moving into the middle two-way turn lane. She crashed into the GMC that was also driving in the same lane but in the opposite direction.

The woman’s 1-year-old child was in the car with her, along with her 19-year-old boyfriend.

The boyfriend was taken to a hospital in severe condition. The child, who was in the back in a rear-facing car seat, was unharmed. The driver, identified only as a 25-year-old woman, was killed in the accident. The identities of the victims are not yet known at this time.
