90-year-old woman killed, another hurt after a two-vehicle crash near Grand Rapids (Plainfield Township, MI)

On Tuesday, a 90-year-old woman lost her life while another person was hurt following a traffic collision near Grand Rapids.

As per the initial information, the fatal two-vehicle crash took place at about 1:30 p.m. at Plainfield Avenue and Vineyard Avenue in Plainfield Township. The early reports revealed that the 90-year-old woman was attempting to cross Plainfield Avenue when her car got struck by an SUV.

The 90-year-old woman, from Grand Rapids, succumbed to her injuries after the collision. The driver of the other vehicle, a 30-year-old Grand Rapids man, received only minor injuries. His backseat passengers, a 5-year-old and a 3-year-old, remained unharmed. No additional information has been provided.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
