An 82-year-old man, of Seal Beach, lost his life after a head-on collision Tuesday in Huntington Beach.
As per the initial information, the fatal car crash took place on Pacific Coast Highway, north of Goldenwest Street. Authorities actively responded to the scene at around 12:30 p.m. The preliminary reports showed that a 2005 Toyota Camry driven by the elderly man was going southbound on PCH when it went over the raised median and into northbound traffic where it crashed into a 2013 Volkswagen GTI.
The driver of the Camry, an 82-year-old Seal Beach man, died of his injuries at the scene. The driver of the GTI, only identified a 25-year-old woman from Huntington Beach, received injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening, and was taken to a local hospital. It is unknown if drugs and alcohol contributed to the incident. No other details are available.
An investigation is ongoing.
