On Tuesday night, an 82-year-old man lost his life following a multi-vehicle wreck in Las Vegas.
As per the initial information, the fatal three-vehicle pile-up took place at N. Bruce Street and E. Washington Avenue. The preliminary investigation showed that the 82-year-old man was riding in a Toyota Camry with a 36-year-old male driver.
As the car approached the intersection, it ran a solid red light and crashed into an SUV. That SUV then slammed into a pickup truck before rolling over. On arrival, emergency crews rushed the passenger in the Camry to UMC Trauma where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The driver and passenger in the SUV received only minimal injuries, as did the driver of the Camry. The driver of the Camry displayed signs of impairment, and was booked into the Clark County Detention Center. No other details are made available.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
