Official reports from the Isabella County Sheriff’s Office state that an 81-year-old man died after a car crash in Mt. Pleasant on Friday.
The incident is reported to have taken place at night at the intersection of Broadway Road and Summerton Road.
Preliminary reports state that an 80-year-old woman ran a past the stop sign at Broadway Road. Resultantly, the car driven by the 81-year-old lost control of their vehicle and crashed into a garage.
Both drivers were taken to the hospital. However, the 81-year-old had a cardiac episode and passed away.
The other driver sustained minor injuries.
