The California Highway Patrol reported a motor vehicle crash in Rowland Heights on Wednesday afternoon. The collision happened just north of Brea Canyon Rd at around 1:25 p.m.
The collision involved only one vehicle. The events leading up to the crash are not yet known at this time.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene. The coroner’s office identified the victim to be 80-year-old Rufino Recinos on Wednesday following his death. It is unsure what caused the crash and how it happened.
Whether drugs or alcohol were involved is yet to be found. The fatal crash is being investigated by the officials. Additional details regarding the deadly crash are not available currently.
